I looking for:
- a photo editing software, (GIMP won't do)
- a budget keeping software that will read Quicken file (and files from my bank.) (Gnu Cash, maybe...)
- a parental control thingy that will keep the girls aways from the dark and evil part of the Internet
- a torrent client (there are very few client for Linux, compared to windows... strange)

Si tu es familier avec Photoshop... il y a un truc que ça fait longtemps que je voulais essayé... mais moi je connais pas photoshop... alors ça ne signifiera pas grand chose. Le bidule en question est "GimpShop" (http://www.gimpshop.com/). Un hack pour changer l'interface UI de Gimp pour celuide Photoshop. Gimp ne devient pas Photoshop... mais cela aide ceux/celles qui ne sont pas capable de s'adapter.

Il y a beaucoup de très bonnes ?revues? (reviews) sur le web à propos de GnuCash. Moi je crois que cela vaut le coup de passer à GnuCash parce qu'il semble beaucoup plus "moderne" et sophistiqué. Voir ici pour l'importation (http://www.gnucash.org/docs/v1.6/C/t3948.html) et les explications du pourquoi Quicken devrait être considéré rien de plus que du "MickeySoft".

Et celui qui vient par défaut avec Ubuntu/Gnome ne te convient pas? Pour moi ça marche très bien. J'ai aussi essayé Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/) et il fonctionne à merveille!
